Quirky links between food and sexual desire are not uncommon (salmon and nuts, anyone?). Food and sex are two of life’s great pleasures after all. But the latest one might surprise you.
A new book, Stay Young: Ten Proven Steps to Ultimate Health reveals that mild-mannered, ever-so-common celery increases pheromone levels in men’s sweat.
Here’s why you should care. This particular pheromone makes men appear more attractive. According to the authors of Stay Young, both human sweat and the cytoplasm of celery contain the same steroid, androstenone. In other words, man eats celery, human levels of andorstenone increase, man drives women wild.
Not only are the effects immediate but as an added bonus for us ladies: Celery also increase your man’s sex drive and can lead to more OMG moments in bed.
Celery sure is sounding sexy now! My fave dish starring celery is Shrimp and White Bean salad (this recipe is delish). Try it tonight for a fun way to add the sexually charged veggie into the mix.
Any innovative ideas for including celery on your man’s menu?
