Lindsay Lohan goes blonde…and ends up looking like her mother

By Gwyneth MacLaine · March 31, 2008

Lindsay, 21, recently defended her hard-partying, rehab-hopping past, to declare: “I am what I am.”

“I had a lot going on in my life and that was a way of hiding from it. I hadn’t seen my dad…I had a lot of work stress ’cause I was constantly working and never took time to stop.”

The daughter and her father have been reunited during her time in rehab, but he has revealed he isn’t too happy about her latest film choice.

Lindsay has signed on to star in Manson Girls, to play one of the notorious murderer’s cult followers.

Michael told Usmagazine.com: “I really hope that Lindsay gets back to the kinds of films that led to her success. I’d like to see her do more mainstream films.”

Lindsay has starred in a string of films — including I Know Who Killed Me and Bobby — which have bombed at the box office.

Chapter 27 — her latest film opens this weekend — and centres on the assassination of John Lennon.

Following her stint in rehab, Lindsay is focused on getting her career back on track.

She said: “I was so used to working and working and working, and for a good few months there was nothing for me to do. “Now I know what it’s like to be an out-of-work actor, and how much it scares me.”
