After a week in the sin bin pending investigation, an amateur’s video clip remix featuring the song Music Is My Hot Hot Sex was briefly reinstated as YouTube’s most viewed video of all time.
But in a unexpected twist, the Italian factory worker, blogger and amateur photographer who uploaded the video last year, has deleted the clip from YouTube.

The three-minute video was a remix featuring Brazilian electro band Cansei De Ser Sexy (CSS). It was set to their song Music Is My Hot Hot Sex.
The video’s Italian creator, who uses the pseudonym Clarus Bartel, had described the video as “ugly” and “made on a whim”.
YouTube temporarily removed the video from the official leaderboard on March 7 and said it was investigating the video after several reports emerged questioning its unprecedented rise up the charts.
In the space of just three weeks from mid-February, Bartel’s video garnered an additional 40 million visits to overtake Judson Laipply’s Evolution Of Dance, a clip that had held the top spot for more than 18 months.
