While the loss of star Charlize Theron would make any movie producer’s head hurt, the minds behind the true-life sex-change drama The Danish Girl got their Hollywood star wattage after all in Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman.
The Australian beauty will star in the film about Einar Wegener, a Danish painter who became the first person to go through a sex-change operation to become a woman in 1931. Theron was set to play Gerda, Wegener’s wife.
Kidman is also a producer on the movie and director Tomas Alfredson confirms the film will soon go into production.
