Former naked news reader and adult entertainer Lisa Lewis has broken her nose after falling off a stripper pole during a raunchy routine in Australia.
Ms Lewis, who made her name after streaking at a rugby match, wants organisers to pay up.
The self-proclaimed “international star, exotic dancer and soft porn star” said she slipped during a routine at Brisbane’s Sexpo on Friday because the pole was “faulty”, Brisbane’s Courier Mail reported.
Ms Lewis said she had video footage that showed the pole was faulty and she had told organisers to change it after her first show Thursday.
“I have video footage of a performance where their pole was dodgy and they insisted I use it on my second show, (which) resulted in me breaking my nose,” she said.
Sexpo general manager Rob Godwin said the pole was in proper working order.
“We have held the Australian pole-dancing championship heats on that pole for the past four days.
“There hasn’t been a single problem with it,” he told the paper.
Ms Lewis was later ejected from the event because her routine was “too risque”.
“I kept my G-string on and feel I was classy throughout,” she said.
Mr Goodwin said during the routine Ms Lewis put her hands in her underpants.
“That behaviour breaches our licensing laws. And she had already received a warning.
“She was asked to leave on her second warning,” he said.
